Bystander Intervention

Active bystanders are those individuals who notice behaviors as a sign of violence, interpret the behavior as a problem, assume personal responsibility to safely and effectively end the violence by intervening. An active bystander SAYS SOMETHING when they see behavior, verbal or physical, that is unwelcomed or unacceptable. They speak out, eliminate, redirect or diminsh red flags as they see them.

To be trained as an active bystander in instances related to interpersonal, dating and sexual violence join the Red Flag Campaign for a training!
